Concert & Lecture Series Committee

This shared governance committee is composed of students appointed by the Council of the Associated Students, faculty members appointed by the Academic Senate and administrators appointed by the President of the College. The College's Public Relations Officer and the Concert & Lecture Series Coordinator are ex-officio members of the Committee.

All requests for funding of performances must be made in writing to the Committee. The proposal form, available on this website or by calling the Concert & Lecture Series office, must include the following items:

  1. names(s) of performer(s) or lecturer(s) including biographical and background summaries
  2. honorarium or fee required
  3. class or group hosting the event (guaranteed audience)
  4. expected benefits to the college community
  5. target audience in addition to number 3 above
  6. suggested date and time of appearance

The Concert & Lecture Series Committee meets once each month on the first Tuesday, at 1 p.m. in the Rosenberg Library, room 206 to consider proposals. Funding is provided by the S.F. Community College District through student fees. Requests for funding may be made by any member of the City College of San Francisco community or a member of the community at large if there is a tie-in to the college community.
