OPEN HOUSE OUTCOMES:
Attention! -- The dates of the open houses are subject to change. Please make sure to check the dates regularly.
The rumors of a biotech El Dorado in Northern California have proven true, we gave out approximately $110,000 worth of supply at the last Open House July 24th.
Congratulations everyone, for a really enthusiastic Open House giveaway. About 40 Teachers drew biotech and science supplies for their programs, serving over 8,000 students. The Open House was largely run by volunteer labor!

There were a lot of happy teachers out there and we think everyone got something good for their programs.

We learned some lessons as usual. We now have the Depot Annex for storage and Depot for display. The volunteer prep day is efficient for setting up display. Also, at the end of the Open House we can loosen the rules. We also drafted all the teachers to help break down. The combination of student labor, volunteers and contract trucks works well.

Thanks to all the people who helped out in so many ways!
Things to Remember Before Open House
- School Identification will be necessary on demand and you will need to fill out a registration and acceptance form-that is all!
- When you join you will be on the mailing list to keep you up to date on how you can get free supplies, and contribute to our program.
- We accept Teachers from Community Colleges, Universities, and High Schools. Different School Programs have different needs for diverse Biotech operations.
- If you join please contribute. Those that join us will be asked to contribute time, contacts, expertise, space and labor to help keep this program up and running.
- Contribution is fun for most people, and educational as well - you can learn a lot about our equipment and supplies. And we are not trying to overwork or punish anyone, just get you as Educators to own a piece of our program!
- Everyone will need to fill out a registration form with clear legible contact information and School ID. Verification can include letterhead, School Taxpayer ID, business cards, the more the better. The intent is to screen out non- educational recipients.
- You should give us an e-mail address so we can put you on our mailing list for events.
- Please write out the number of Biotech Students you teach. This is important for Donors and Grants.
- Everyone will fill out the Donation form that itemizes every Piece of Biotech Equipment and Lab Supply acquired from the Depot. We need this for our records and to demonstrate progress to our Donors.
