The top-of-the-class language learning software publisher is going back to school with TELL ME MORE Education, a new version created exclusively for the education sector.Designed with the needs of educational establishments in mind, TELL ME MORE EDUCATION is a complete solution integrating the latest software for student use and user-friendly software tools for teachers. The software includes educational paths, to support the teacher’s classroom activities. These Educational Paths, based on the communicative approach, have been developed for each language and ability level specifically. Each Educational Path focuses on either a functional language pattern (e.g. presenting oneself), a theme (e.g. consolidation of vocabulary) or the culture behind the language being learned (e.g. educational texts highlighting different facets of countries where the language is spoken) and are designed to be used in a one-hour lesson. Among the many new additions, there is the brand-new ‘Complete Beginner’ level, specially adapted to the education sector, as well as tools allowing teachers to track students’ progress and create their own Educational Paths. The entire pedagogical content can also be printed in exercise-book format for use in class. Also within the software is the Cultural Workshop, a section comprising texts covering a range of themes (e.g. history, literature, cuisine), maps (e.g. geo-political maps) and associated exercises. TELL ME MORE Education enables students to develop the full spectrum of linguistic skills: oral and written comprehension, as well as oral and written expression. Set in a realistic learning context, students not only tackle elements of grammar, vocabulary, phonetics and conjugation, but also discover the culture of the country where the language is spoken. There are 35 different types of activity: interactive dialogues, videos, exercises based on consolidating knowledge and encouraging students to think about the language they are learning, with guided or semi-guided language production … all of which help students to absorb and retain what they have learned. The speech recognition technology, in which Auralog specialises, ensures effective pronunciation practice. In line with current pedagogical trends, Tell me More places the emphasis on rapidly familiarising students with the specific voicing of the language, using audio recordings made by native speakers. In total, there are more than 2000 hours of learning material for each language. TELL ME MORE Education is available for the teaching of British and American English, German, Spanish, French and Italian. TeLL me More exists also for Dutch, Chinese, Japanese and Arabic. A simplified network version, without the software tools for teachers, is also available as a complement to Tell me More PRO v5.0, still very much appreciated within numerous educational establishments.
