We are currently working on lining up more guest speakers.  If you would like to be a speaker or you know someone who would, please contact JULIO.

SuSE Linux team was at CCSF meeting on May 5, 2000. The speacker were Mr.Waldo and Mr. Seth Payne. Several copies of the current full distribution were given away by them. They based their presentation on Linux intallation futures and the KDE graphical user interface. We appreciate SuSE Linux for their contrubution to our success.

March 25, 1999 - General Meeting. Topic of discussion included updates from the ISP Fundraising Team and Install Fest and Demo Team. Highlights include Tech Resource Online Support for fundraising proposed by Dan Doyon.

March 10, 1999 - Scott Kaplan spoke on Using Linux as your SOHO Gateway for this evenings event. Scott is the President of Bay Office Net, an ISP, which specializes in connecting small and home offices to the internet.

February 24, 1999 - Rick Moen, joined us again doing an install demo. Thanks Rick.

February 10, 1999 - Rick Moen, a Computer Network Consultant providing network solutions in the Bay Area, spoke on Understanding the Linux File System and Startup Process.

May 30, 1998 - LUG Field Trip:  We joined BALUG and CABAL for an InstallFest at the Oakland Convention Center

May 14, 1998 - David Baker spoke about the GPIB (General Purpose Interface Bus) he built and the Linux driver he wrote for it.   David Barker was a designer with Hewlett Packard for 25 years before retiring.

February 26, 1997 - John Flowers, Unix/Linux security specialist, talked about network security, firewalls, and his love of Red Hat.  His book on Linux security will be published later this year.

December 11, 1997 - Don Bell, CIO of Versant Object Technology and security expert, spoke on career opportunities and strategies for System Administrators and gave out a plethora of good advice.

November 20, 1997 - Chris Manders, System Administrator and Programmer with Collective Technologies, spoke on the positive aspects of being a System Administrator, hiring practices at Collective Technologies, the pros and cons of self-employment and more!
