<>WEDNESDAY,MARCH 13, 2002 TIME: From 3:00 PM--> :--> PM : CCSF GNU/Linux Users Group Meeting On CURRENT PROJECT: Linux Intallation of Network using several distributions, Samba and Apache
CCSF COMPUTER LAB.ICL2 AT SCIENCE ROOM 8 WE WILL DESIDE WHERE TO GO FROM THIS LAB. AFTER 4:00 PM. :

We have been meeting under informal conditions this year. From now on one another week starting on Wednesday March 3, 2002. We have an office at Student Union First Floor that we will activate and keep open for guests and students. We are getting computer systems donations to create a network where we can have in each computer a different version of Linux. We are trying to get a domain delegation address with a .edu domain name.

Some of our goals:
 *  Bring Linux and Unix speakers to our campus
 *  Network with CalLUG and other Linux Users Groups
 *  Make the latest Linux CD's available on campus for student use
 *  Get the bookstore to carry Linux
 *  Help students to install Linux on their own machines
 *  Spread the word of Linux!

What is Linux?
Linux is a multi-user, multi-tasking operating system that runs on many platforms.  It implements a superset of the POSIX standard.  It is freely available and can be copied and redistributed without fees or royalties." - Linux Journal
