Asian Pacific American Students
at City College of San Francisco

During the 2002-2003 academic year, a group of faculty, staff and administrators began an initial investigation into the achievement of Asian Pacific American students at CCSF.  It was found that, contrary to many people’s belief that APA students do well in college, many APA students fall into the “at-risk” definition and struggle in their stay at CCSF.  A Workgroup made up of faculty, staff, administrators and students was convened in early Spring 2003, with the support of the Chancellor and Vice-Chancellor of Academic Affairs, to look further into how APA students fare at this College and to make recommendations to Administration on how best to meet the needs of these students.

This website will post research on this and related topics, minutes of the APA Workgroup meetings, and other items of interest to the APA community at CCSF.
