Appeal of Academic Dismissal

Students may appeal academic dismissal and petition to be reinstated so they may be continue their enrollment. Such petitions will be considered in cases of verified unusual circumstances. Students may request information or a Petition to Appeal Academic Dismissal and Request Reinstatement from the Office of the Dean of Student Advocacy, Rights and Responsibilities (Conlan Hall, Room 106). If students are reinstated, their reinstatement will be conditional based upon a review of the academic record at the end of each semester. Readmitted students will be subject to the continued requirements of th academic probation and academic dismissal regulations.

You are Required to Meet with a
Continuing Student Counselor

The Counselor will hear your appeal and request for reinstatement. If applicable, the counselor will assit you with an academic success plan and mae a recommendation to the Associate Dean of Student Advocacy, Rights and Responsibilities through e-mail.If the counselor's recommendation is approved, your registration block will be removed within 48 hours and you can register for classes through WEBSTARS (online), STARS (phone) or IN-PERSON.Your reinstatement will be valid for the school year (fall, spring, and summer) unless otherwise recommended by the counselor or the dean.
