RULES & REGULATIONS

DECISIONS
  • Every two weeks, submitted ideas were reviewed by the CCSF COST-$AVING$ CONTEST TASK FORCE.
  • A list of the best ideas were forwarded to Peter Goldstein, Vice Chancellor of Finance and Administration, who identified appropriate implementation areas for each idea and passed them along to the responsible individuals.
  • Those tasked with implementing the ideas reported back to the task force on the success of implementation, including real or expected financial savings.
  • At the end of Spring Semester, we stopped submissions, but continued to track cost savings from already submitted ideas.
  • At the beginning of Fall semester, we reviewed all the submitted ideas and implementation and named our winners.
  • There were as many winners as there were prizes.
  • Note: for duplicate ideas, the first submission was identified as the winner.

DEADLINES
The last day to submit ideas was the end of finals week, Spring 2010.
Winners were chosen and notified at the beginning of Fall 2010.

ONLINE RESULTS
Periodically during this contest, we have posted some of the best and/or most common ideas with our responses. At the end of the contest, we posted our final results with winner names and expected savings.

ELIGIBILITY FOR PRIZES
Prizes were given only for ideas submitted by CCSF-affiliated personnel or students. To claim a prize, individuals needed to include name and e-mail address on the submission form. All members of the task force are ineligible for prizes.
