Who We Are & What We Do

The Office of Research, Planning, and Grants provides services that are integral to institutional and programmatic decision-making throughout the College. These services include developing surveys, producing small, selected reports for College departments, initiating in-depth, longitudinal studies of College departments and units, conducting program review, and providing a variety of other research-related services for the College. In addition, our office performs Environmental Scan studies which cover Bay Area, California, and national labor market trends while providing population forecasts, college-going rates, and projected enrollments.

Our grants branch provides services that encompass all phases of grant development, implementation, and management. We notify faculty and staff about grant opportunities in a timely manner, and assist in the planning of projects. Additionally we are an excellent resource for proposal development, and have established a set of suggestions that help project managers in this area. Our office submits B-Resolutions pertaining to grants and facilitates post-award procedures primarily related to budget administration.
