College Board Trustee, Rodel E. Rodis Named Northern California Chair for ACCT



San Francisco, Calif., May 29, 2001-- City College of San Francisco Board of Trustee Vice President, Rodel E. Rodis, has been named Northern California State Chair of the Association of Community College Trustees (ACCT). Rodis was first elected to the Board in 1992. He was re-elected in 1996 and 2000.

"The ACCT represents more than 6500 trustees who govern over 1200 community colleges in the US, Canada and England," said Rodis. His new duties as State Chair will be to act as liaison between the ACCT Board of Directors and the community college trustees from Northern California. Rodis is responsible for coordinating a statewide recruiting effort to enlist membership in ACCT working to ensure retention of current ACCT members; encouraging statewide attendance at ACCT seminars and conventions; and encouraging boards to submit award nominations for the regional and annual awards.
