When my father retired from the U.S. Air Force in June 1977 and relocated his family to Sacramento, I was on scholastic probation. I enrolled at Sacramento City College (SCC) that fall, earned better grades and was placed on the Dean's List. More than 28 years after graduating from SCC, I'm the Public Information Officer of the largest higher educational system in the nation. SCC has enriched my life personally, academically, professionally and financially.
