Cristy Killeen

This is my first true graduation since elementary school. After 12 years of addiction, arrests and incarceration, I enrolled in Rio Hondo College and worked in the President’s Office. They welcomed me with open arms and after my first A, I was unstoppable. My family, my Rio Hondo family, and my Phoenix House family all supported and encouraged me. I am on the Dean’s Honor list with a 3.8 G.P.A. Graduation is the best day of my life.
