The Asian Pacific American Student Success Center Scholarship
Application Deadline: February 22, 2008 at 4:00 p.m.

CLOSED (Next opening is Spring 2009)

Award: Five $500 scholarships will be given to students in the APASS program.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Currently involved in the APASS program and be enrolled in a credit courses
  • Was on Academic or Progress Probation (Currently in Good Standing)
  • Completed 15 units
  • California resident
  • Have a finacial need 

Application must include the following attachments:

  • Obtain 2 lettters of recommendation
  • Write a two page personal statement (double-spaced)
  • Submit unofficial transcript(s) and courses in progress

Note: Application must be computer generated or typed.

The Mosaic Scholars Program
Deadline:  May 16, 2008

Award:  Renewable scholarships ($500 each) will be given each semester to basic skills students (ESL 160 or below, English 96 or below, or Math 860 or below; see counselor for the list of courses) participating in the APASS program.

We highly recommend that you make counseling appointments with an APASS counselor THIS semester.

Return the completed application packet to APASS (L208)
Note:  Participants in the African American Scholars Program or Latino Services Network should turn in the Mosaic application to those offices.  Participants in the Continuing Students Counseling Division should pick-up and return the College Readiness Program application to that office.

Students may receive only one of the following awards:  The Richard Goldman Scholars, the Mosaic Scholars, College Readiness Program or the CalWORKS Basic Skills Program.

The Richard N. Goldman Scholars Program
Deadline:  May 16, 2008

Award:  Renewable scholarships ($500 each) will be given each semester to students who participate in the APASS program and are (1) taking UC or CSU transfer courses only; or (2) seeking a certificate or associate degree at CCSF; or (3) taking one or more basic skills courses (ESL 160 or below, English 96 or below, or Math 860 or below; see counselor for course listing) who intend to complete an occupational certificate, associate’s degree, or a bachelor’s degree.

This scholarship is payable in two installments; one installment at the beginning of the semester and one after mid-term.

Note:  There are eight (8) other offices that offer this scholarship.  Each office selects their own 22 students.
