Who are Asian Americans
and Pacific Islanders?

Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders represent nearly 50 countries and ethnic groups.  Asian Americans are persons with origins from East Asia, Southeast Asia, and South Asia. Pacific Islanders are persons with origins from one or more of the Pacific Islands.  Some of the groups are the following:
