Veterans Resource Center

Thank you for supporting our veterans!

City College of San Francisco is committed to making college a welcoming, comfortable, and productive environment for veterans.

As a veteran, I am utterly alone. Because of my life in combat I will never be ‘normal’ again.”
- J., Iraq Combat Veteran

We believe that providing a place on campus where veterans can connect with peers and access resources will greatly enhance their college experience.

City College of San Francisco's new Veterans Resource Center will occupy two adjacent spaces covering over 1,500 square feet that include:

Programs and Services

  • Academic counseling
  • GI Bill certification
  • Workshops on topics ranging from career pathways to stress management
  • Representatives providing services from outside agencies, including the Veterans Administration

A Veterans Community Area

In 2009, City College of San Francisco served 150 veterans; this year we’re serving over 500—and this number is expected to grow yet more.

A place where veterans can develop a community by interacting with each other, whether to discuss and resolve challenges they face on campus, to study together, or to simply get to know each other.

How You Can Help

We need your help to create this Veterans Resource Center where veterans can interact every day, where veterans will know that they are not abandoned, where veterans will be honored, accepted, and understood.

Thank you for helping us reach our goal of raising $500,000 to launch the Veterans Resource Center.
