LERN 52B Probation Classes

What is Probation?

A student who has completed at least twelve semester units as shown on the official academic record will be placed on academic probation if the student has earned an overall grade point average below 2.0  in those units.

If a student completes less than fifty percent of the units they attempt then they will be placed on progress probation.

It is possible to be on both types of probation. If you find you are on either one or both types of probation you will be required to attend a LERN 52 course or a workshop in order to be allowed to register. Attending the LERN 52 course or a workshop, however, will not necessarily remove you from probation status. For more on getting off of probation, please see the City College catalog. You will also receive this information in the class.
