As a result of the Health Care and Education Reconciliation Act, beginning July1, 2010, federal student loans will no longer be made by private lenders under the Federal Family Education Loan (FFELP). Instead, all new federal student loans will come directly from the U.S. Department of Education under the Direct Loan Program.
Taking the time now to carefully review the information provided below will help you avoid delays. Evaluate your needs and borrow only what is essential. Loans are monies you must pay back! Keep in mind you must maintain Financial Aid Satisfactory Academic Progress requirements and at least half-time enrollment (6 units) in order to receive your loan.
