Finding Materials in the Library

Search CityCat to find books, e-books, disks and more. There are many ways to search, such as Title, Author and Keyword.

Books in the library are organized by call number according to the Library of Congress classification system which groups items by subject, so you can often simply browse the shelves. Examples of Subject searches include: small business; international business; corporations; free trade; globalization; Greenspan, Alan.

Gale Powersearch is a brand name for 25 multidisplinaryl databases with coverage from 1980 to the present. These databases let you limit your results to articles only from scholarly journals by checking the box "Peer Reviewed publications."Most useful periodical databases for business topics include the General Business File ASAP, Business and Company ASAP, Business and Company Resource Center, and LegalTrac.

a. General Business File ASAP:
Analyze company performance and activity, industry events and trends as well as the latest in management, economics and politics. Access to a combination of broker research reports, trade publications, newspapers, journals and company directory listings.

b. Business and Company Resource Center:
Business and Company Resource Center brings together company profiles, brand information, rankings, investment reports, company histories, chronologies and periodicals. Search this database to find detailed company and industry news and information.

c. LegalTrac
Drawing on a wide variety of the most highly regarded legal publications, providing indexing for more than 1,400 titles including major law reviews, legal newspapers, bar association journals and international legal journals.
