  • All CCSF Libraries have computers with Internet access for finding information and doing research. Librarians can provide individual assistance and instruction in online research. 
  • A valid CCSF ID with barcode is required to use most library computers.
  • Office software for word processing, spreadsheets, and presentations is also available on many library workstations. Library staff can provide only limited assistance with use of these applications. See the Learning Assistance Center for more help with software.
  • Printing for a fee is available from most library computers - see the Copying, Faxing & Printing page for details.
  • Workstations for disabled users are available in most libraries: see the page for Disabled User services for details.
  • CCSF course-related research and schoolwork has priority on library computers, and time limits apply due to heavy demand. Users are responsible for following library and CCSF computer use policies.

Wireless access is available in most CCSF libraries at no cost, but students, faculty and staff must register their portable devices with the campus network. For more information and to register, go to http://www.ccsf.edu/wifi .

Rosenberg Library & Media Center

Rosenberg Library has over 100 computers for student use. Most require a barcode and password login. A limited number of workstations access CCSF pages only and require no login.

  • Computers on the 4th floor inside the library are available on a walk-up basis.
  • Computers in in the Media Center (also on the 4th floor) are also available.

The Learning Assistance Center on the 2nd floor of the Rosenberg Library and Learning Resources building has several computer labs for student use. Procedures for access and use of computers there are different from library procedures.

Wireless access is available on the 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th floors of the Rosenberg building.

Alice Statler Library

The Gifford Resource Center is a sound proof computer lab in the library. Computers have Microsoft Office applications and internet access. The computer room doubles as a meeting place where students working on group projects gather to complete assignments.

Downtown Campus Library

  • 20 computers with internet access and office software for research and coursework; 2 of these are priority use for disabled students.
  • 6 media lab workstations for general use; 3 additional media lab workstations reserved for disabled students.

John Adams Campus Library

  • 15 computers with internet access for research and coursework: 10 or these also have office software, and 2 have priority use for disabled students.

Mission Campus Library

Southeast Campus - Josephine Cole Library
