You will meet with a New Student counselor after you complete your online or in-person Orientation to CCSF. You will briefly review your educational background and goals and the placement results with the counselor and select your first semester classes. If you are in a special program (e.g. International Students) you will need to see the counselor assigned to that program.
This is only an initial meeting with the counselor. You are encouraged to schedule a one-hour educational planning appointment with the counselor during your first or second semester to discuss your academic goal and begin planning your required courses to reach this goal. Career counselors are also available to assist you in identifying your career interests and goals. Check out the counseling services.
