How to Pick your Classes
On your Principal Recommendation Form you are allowed to list up to 3 course choices. We recommend that you list as many choices as you’d like to maximize your chances of getting a seat in a class. Students will be given priority in courses according to their pathway/academy. We suggest making your first choice a class that is listed under the name of your pathway/academy at your high school, then choose other classes that interest you as your next choices.
How to ADD a Class
You should attend the first class meeting to see if seats are available in your preferred course. Many students enroll and do not show up the first day, leaving seats available. If there are available seats you will need to obtain an add sticker from the instructor, complete a “SPECIAL H.S. ADD/DROP” form and submit it at Conlan Hall 107 at the Ocean Campus (have your CCSF ID# handy). You must add by the ADD Deadline.
*The class you are adding must be listed on your principal consent form. If it is not you will need to submit a new principal consent form to Admissions and Records in Conlan Hall 107.
How to DROP a Class
Complete a “SPECIAL H.S. ADD/DROP” form available in Conlan Hall 107 (have your ID # handy) and check the "Drop" box.
You must drop the class by the drop deadline to avoid getting a “W” or an "F" on your transcript.
Grades:
The grade(s) you earn in your CCSF class(es) will become a part of your official college academic record. If you have signed the release on the parent consent form, CCSF will send a final semester grade report to the Registrar of the high school you listed on your application for admission. It is your responsibility to make sure you have received high school credit. Check with your counselor to be sure your college grade(s) has been posted to your high school transcript. Students may also view their course grades by logging into their Web4 account.
