Important update about STUDENT CCSF Gmail accounts. (Faculty and staff CCSFmail accounts are not affected):
As of 8/18/10 at noon, the automatic generation of student CCSFmail accounts for new applicants to CCSF and for students returning after a semester break was suspended. This action was taken in order to make certain that CCSF is in compliance with Education Code and FERPA regulations.
As of 9/20/10, difficulties with a third party involved with our registration process were resolved, and student CCSFmail account generation has resumed - with one important change:
- Students are now offered the opportunity to opt out of the process. They can provide another email address if they desire.
- Students who enrolled between the two dates gave a preferred email address during registration. This is the address that will appear on class lists.
What does this mean to instructors?
- Faculty Class lists (accessible from the Class Schedule portal on the MyCCSF page) will list student CCSFmail addresses or the preferred addresses that students have chosen to provide.
- Students who enrolled BEFORE Wednesday, 8/18/10, at noon or after 9/20/10 and who show up on your class list with a CCSFmail address are NOT impacted. Please do not worry about using CCSFmail to contact those students. It will work.

Faculty and Staff can now get a CCSFmail account on CCSF's branded Google domain. This allow access to Google apps, including Calendar, Docs, and Sites, in the same domain as other CCSF Faculty and Staff as well as students. This make it easy to share information, if you want, with other CCSF users.
If you want to forward your CCSFmail emails to another email account, you need to set that up. See these instructions.
If you want to forward your Groupwise email to your new CCSFmail account, follow these instructions.
