What is a wireless card physical address?

Every network card has a Media Access Control (MAC) address, also known as physical address, that uniquely identifies the card.

It is made up of 12 characters (6 pairs of 2) which is expressed as  00:12:34:56:78:ab  or  00-12-34-56-78-ab.


Correct format to enter on the CCSF Wi-Fi Sign Up Form:    0012345678ab


These are NOT valid physical addresses - DO NOT use them to register your devices:
