Staff Highlight: Service Desk
James Rogers, Service Desk Supervisor (12 years at CCSF)
Innovative and known for his graciousness, James has been helping CCSF faculty, staff and students with everything from password recovery, to broken computers, WiFi access and whacked-out software glitches. He supervises a very small team, who collectively keep nearly 3,000 CCSF technology users operational, connected and informed. Contact James at jrogers@ccsf.edu or 239-3097. Alan Lee, Service Desk Technician (4 years at CCSF)
Alan first came to CCSF as a student, and joined the ITS (now Technology Division) in 2007. He quickly became an invaluable asset, guiding CSSF technology users through problems and empowering them to make the most of the college’s technology resources along the way. July/August 2011 Highlight: Technology Training
Vic Fascio, Senior IT Trainer (13 year at CCSF)
Vic graduated from McGill (BA) and UC Berkeley (MA). He also has a Certificate in Technical and Professional Writing from SF State.
In addition to establishing countless training workshops and libraries, managing CCSF student interns and computers labs, Vic has been a vital member of the Technology Learning Center as technology since it’s beginning. He has enjoyed meeting hundreds of CCSF Faculty and Staff at the school in group workshops, individual tutorials and videos, and via email and the telephone.
Vic continues as a trainer, with perhaps more behind-the-scenes committee and administrative duties, as part of the newly reformulated Training Division. Reach him at vfascio@ccsf.edu and 452-5318, and in his office, 312 Batmale Hall on the Ocean Campus. Also often seen in the Batmale 313 lab.
Delicia Kamins, Senior IT Trainer (6 years at CCSF)
Delícia earned a double B.A. at UC Davis, and attended SFSU for her Masters degree. For the past ten years, she has accumulated a diverse background in communications and teaching, and has earned several awards for excellence.
Delícia is a Senior Technology Trainer at CCSF, and focuses on training and Technology Division communications. Prior to joining the Technology Division, Delícia was the Senior Technology Trainer at SFUSD, as well as a CCSF instructor in both the Broadcasting and Electronic Media Arts department and Multimedia Studies program.
