The Educational Technology Department provides faculty training in the use of educational technologies in both the face-to-face classroom and via distance education (online, teleclasses and telecourses). Ed Tech is housed within Academic Affairs in the School of Behavorial and Social Sciences.
Ed Tech oversees the development, delivery and support of all online classes using Insight (CCSF’s learning management system).
Ed Tech trains and supports faculty who use technology to enhance face-to-face classes with Insight.
Ed Tech manages the Technology Learning Center Laboratory which serves as an open computer lab for faculty and staff as well as an area for training faculty. Ed Tech also manages the Educational Technology Satellite Laboratory which is an open computer lab for faculty.
