The Radiologic Sciences Department of City College of San Francisco offers two full-time programs in either Diagnostic Medical Imaging (DMI) or Radiation Therapy Technology (RTT). The curricula are designed so that a student will accomplish the following two goals:
1.) Satisfy the requirements for graduation from the College with an Associate Degree in Science with a major in either Diagnostic Medical Imaging or Radiation Therapy Technology
2.) Upon program completion, the graduate will be qualified to take the national credentialing examination administered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (www.arrt.org) and upon passing receive national and state certification. Since 2006, 100% of the graduates of the Diagnostic Medical Imaging program have pased the examination on the first attempt. Since 2010, 100% of the graduates from the Radiation Therapy Technology program have passed this examination on the first attempt.
