October 6th Alonzo Powell the hitting instructor for the Seattle Mariners came to talk and to work our players out at practice. Alonzo went to City College the fall of 1982 and was signed as a Free agent by the Giants in 1983. He went to Lincoln High school in San Francisco. He now is the big league hitting instructor for the Seattle Mariners and works on a day to day basis with Ichiro and Chone Figgins to name a few. He talked not only hitting with the players but also what it takes to make it to the next level and how much hard work and practice it took him to make it to the big leagues.
