Asian Studies

Welcome to the Asian Studies Department. Many of our courses are cross-listed with other departments, and we serve approximately 1700 students across four campuses.
We offer courses in the following areas pertaining to Asia: civilization and culture, language, history, political science, music, art, health, and cinema. Our courses which are linked with other City College of San Francisco departments, fulfill graduation requirements in the humanities, social and behavioral sciences, and ethnic studies. All courses emphasize effective communication and analytical thinking. We hope that your experience with us will help you to understand better the land, cultures, and peoples of Asia.
