We cordially invite you to join us to a special presentation given by Gwen Mazer on "Personal Branding: Creating your image and style for business success," on Monday, Feb. 25, 2013, from 6-7:30 p.m. It will be held at City College of SF, Downtown Center, Educated Palate Restaurant, located at 88 Fourth Street, San Francisco, 94103.  This is part of the "Business Smart--Speaker Series sponsored by the Downtown Associated Students Council and the Center Library.  This is a free event and the public is welcome.

Bio:  

Gwen Mazer is an author, personal style consultant, speaker and workshop leader.She has been featured in a wide variety of media including The New Yorker, Vogue, Women’s Wear Daily, ABC- Affiliate KGO, View From the Bay, The San Francisco Chronicle, Comcast CNN and the Tavis Smiley Show.

She was honored as a Literary Laureate by the Friends and Foundation of the San Francisco Public Library.

The Remarkable Story of the Shanghai Jewish Ghetto

"Deborah Strobin and Ilie Wacs, co-authors of ""An Uncommon Journey"", will speak about their childhood experiences as Jewish refugees in Shanghai during World War II.  City College bookstores will sell copies of the authors' book at the event.

Women Of Color Gathering

The Women Of Color Gathering is an annual event sponsored by the Women's Resource Center at City College. Its purpose is to bridge the gap between Black History Month and Women's History Month. This year our gathering will be focused on education. Special guest speakers will include Shanell Williams, Associated Students Council President of Ocean Campus, and Sekani Moyenda, an African American elementary school teacher at Rosa Parks Elementary School. More guests to be announced.
