"China has had a history of a collaborative approach to creating works of art. As an
example, an artist who was masteful at painting birds might cooperate with an artist
who was equally accomplished at depicting trees and perhaps with one who could convey the
essence of a rock or a mountain with a few brushstrokes.
This collaboration grew out of an invitation by librarian Kate Connell to put together an exhibition at the Rosenberg Library. The exhibition would commemorate the gold medal we won for our previous collaboration at the Fourth International Contemporary Biennale in Florence, Italy, December 2003." --from the exhibition statement -- |
