Black Panther At City College in the 1960s, Emory Douglas majored in Commercial Art and joined the Black Students Association; he thus developed his skills and awareness so that he could go on to become the Minister of Culture for the Black Panther Party where it was his responsibility to put together The Black Panther newspaper for many years.
Douglas showed his artwork and discussed related issues at City College for African American Heritage Month February 2008. |
