Color on Campus: Art Faculty Show [Off!] an exhibition featuring John Adams Art Faculty Patricia Bruvry, Carole Fitzgerald, Peggy Osterkamp, & Janice Sullivan

"Large format works with big color by: Patricia Bruvry, Carole Fitzgerald, Peggy Osterkamp, and Janice Sullivan. All are art faculty at John Adams Campus, CCSF. Patricia Bruvry, quilting and surface design instructor, uses raw edge appliqué, hand-dyed fabrics and innovative stitching to create wall hangings describing places she has visited. Carole Fitzgerald teaches DSP&S art classes and paints large, lush watercolors of garden plants and landscapes. Peggy Osterkamp teaches weaving and has written several books on weaving techniques. She has on exhibit a large woven work of rainbow colors and a series of small pieces of unexpected structure. Janice Sullivan teaches weaving and creates large abstract pieces made with varied colors and metallic fibers. Layers of pleats and multi-patterned weave structures invite close inspection and evoke a history of weaving."
