ACRL Library Award Reception: "For Rita Jones, dean of library services at the City College of San Francisco (CCSF),
providing great library service starts with a simple question: "How is this going to help our students succeed?"
That mantra has worked so much, says Jones, that the library has been awarded this year's Association of College and
Research Libraries (ACRL) Excellence in Academic Libraries award in the community college category.
"We are excited, just delighted," Jones said. "And so are our faculty and students. Faculty member have been coming by and saying,
'We always knew we had the best library, now we can prove it.'" CCSF joins New York's Baruch College,
winner in the college division, and Loyola University of New Orleans, which took home top honors
in the university system category."
