Library Wish List

Have you read a great new book lately that you’d like to share? The library would love to help you do that. We’re looking for copies of thought provoking titles such as David Sheff’s Beautiful Boy and Unaccustomed Earth by Jhumpa Lahiri. We also want books that aren’t quite so new, but still in demand such as Malcolm Gladwell’s The Tipping Point, and Freakonomics by Levitt and Dubner. And there are classics and older titles that we can’t seem to keep enough copies of, like Shakespeare’s Hamlet and The Spirit Catches You and You Fall Down, by Anne Fadiman. Help us update the collections our students use to write their papers and do their homework! Below is a list of some of our most needed topics and most in demand titles.

You can also help us by becoming a member of the Friends of the Library or making a tax-deductible donation. http://www.ccsf.edu/Organizations/Friends_of_the_Library/join.htm

To donate books from this wish list please contact Joao Barretto (jbarrett@ccsf.edu, 452-5441) or Karen Saginor (ksaginor@ccsf.edu, 452-5522). Get information about book donations in general from the Friends of the Library.
