About

The City College of San Francisco provides a substantial curriculum for study for international students. The U.S. Department of Immigration and Naturalization has authorized City College of San Francisco under federal law to enroll nonimmigrant international students without quota. This is applicable to F-1 visa students.
Credit Programs:
The University Transfer Program comprises all courses offered by City College of San Francisco with the exception of foundation courses. Credits earned in specified courses are transferable to four-year colleges and universities, where you can complete your bachelor's degree.
Certain transfer programs are extremely popular with California residents, for example, engineering, computer science, business administration and designated technical disciplines. Potential international students are advised to communicate directly with the International Student Counselors representing the transfer four-year colleges and universities of their choice. CCSF is proud to report that it has one of the highest rates of transfer for its students to both the University of California and California State University.
CCSF's Semiprofessional or Career Program provides specialized college level training designed to qualify students for employment in various fields. Semiprofessional preparation is provided in both degree and certificate curricula. Degree curricula require completion of 60 or more semester units, and certificate curricula usually require completion of fewer than 60 semester units, generally between 12 to 30. The College offers 45 degree and 30 certificate programs on the semiprofessional level..
Several semiprofessional programs are in heavy demand by domestic students. Therefore, international students may be restricted from applying in some of these programs to allow space for California residents and will be counseled to choose other majors. Students are generally expected to complete a program at the College within four semesters.
