By default the search engine searches whole words; if you do not know complete spelling of a name, check the Partial words radio button to search partial words.

If you wish to list faculty and staff in a department, select from the drop-down menu, and leave the input box blank. If you wish to list faculty and staff in a building/location, select from the drop-down menu, and leave the input box blank. If you wish to list faculty and staff in an office, type the office number (eg. L436) in the input box and click the Lookup button. By the same token you can search for a phone number or a mailbox.

You can combine keyword(s) in the input box and selection from drop-down menu(s), and include/exclude occupation type/status check box(es) for specialized lists.

You can select a semeter, for which to list faculty courses.
