M.A., San Francisco State University

Mr. Trego has been a member of the CCSF faculty since 1991.

Mr. Trego states, "My goal is to give students the skills and confidence they need to function at work and in their communities. I push students to take an active role in their learning and to use English to express themselves and find out about others. My students work on developing good study skills and experiment with different ways to reinforce their learning."

I frequently host student teachers from the SFSU MA-TEFL program. My conference presentations have dealt in particular with teaching grammar and listening. I have chaired the ESL Noncredit Curriculum Committee, co-chaired the ESL Personnel Committee, and participated in Reflective Teaching groups, the SCANS project, and the Academic Senate.

I have authored a grammar book called The Present Perfect Perfected.
Check out my learning websites: (beginner) (intermediate) (intermediate continued) (intermediated continued) (high beginner vocabulary) (vocational)

I enjoy photography, traveling in France and Italy, and reading French.
