Fall 2014 Teaching Schedule

No teaching assignment for Fall 2014.

B.S., Purdue University; M.S., Ph.D.,University of Colorado

I see my role as a facilitator, teacher, and organizer. I mix traditional lecturing with interactive learning methods, allowing time in class for students to work together on problems and worksheets. I assign points for doing homework, completing worksheets and taking exams. I grade totally on points accumulated during the semester. I ask students to help each other, not compete against each other.

I have been a member and past chair of the Parking and Transportation Subcommittee for many years. I have also served on the Facilities Review committee. In addition I have worked on two NSF grants, developing interactive physics software for students to use in the classroom and published articles in The Physics Teacher and City Currents .

I enjoy sports, hiking, gardening, cooking and caring for my family, and visiting friends and neighbors. I also am active in the RC community.
