FSC 105A-001 required concurrent enrollment-add stickers issued with FSC 111 on first night of class of FSC 111. FSC 105A closed until first official night of FSC 111. There will be a MANDATORY pre-academy meeting on Monday, 8/18/14 at 6 p.m. at Airport Campus, Classroom 008. Students enrolled in this class MUST attend this mandatory meeting or they will be dropped from FSC 111.

Mr. Connors has been teaching at CCSF since the fall semester of 1997.

His goal is to help students develop an interest in the field of fire fighting and all of its related activities - EMS, HazMat, Structural Fire Fighting, Wildland Fire Fighting, Fire Prevention, and Fire Management. He also seeks to assist and motivate students in a positive &> supportive learning environment. He retired as a Captain in January, 2007 from the San Francisco Fire Department, after 32 years of service to the City of San Francisco. He brings his experience as an engine officer, company commander, safety officer, wildland firefighter, and Recruit Training Captain to the classroom, and the new Fire Fighter One Academy that started in January, 2008.

He is on the Board of Directors of the San Francisco Fire Credit Union.
Mr. Connors was apointed to the State Training Educational Advisory Committee (STEAC) as an alternate member in November, 2008, and as a permanent member representing the Northern section of the California Fire Technology Director's Association. . STEAC works with the California State Fire Marshal's office, State Fire Training, California Fire Technology Director's Association, and other state organizations that approve and recommend fire education programs in the State of California.

Mr. Connors is a member of the California Fire Technology Director's Association and American Federation of Teachers Local 2121. He volunteers with the San Francisco Fire Department Toy Program, sponsored by Local 798 of the International Assoication of Firefighters. He has assisted Ronald McDonald House San Francisco in fire training, fire prevention, and on-site disaster preparedness.

His extracurricular activities include spending as much time as possible with his family (including his twin grandsons), golfing, hiking, on the water at Clear Lake, and in the Sierras near Bear Valley.
