Presently teaches Hatha I/II at SF Integral Yoga Institute. Ms. Hubbell's work with voice students includes basic principles of vocal technique, story telling in songs, exploration of centering and breathing techniques learned from studies in Biofeedback, Mindfulness, Hatha Yoga and T'ai Chi Chih. Students are encouraged to study music theory and piano, to write about music and text, to learn to sing in foreign languages, and to keep their bodies and minds in shape. Judy's work with the CCSF Mentoring Music Project since 2000 (presently voluntary) has been to work with the expertise found in our CCSF student body, She encourages development of future teachers through their growth as voluntary mentors. Expertise among the mentors enables an open classroom where ideas on voice, piano, alignment, diction, acting techniques, movement, musicianship, and writing skills are freely exchanged. Students then help each other grow creatively as musicians and artists, forming important artistic ties to each other and to the artistic community of San Francisco.

Ms Hubbell has spent many years studying the connection between various Asian disciplines and their effect on focus of body and mind in singing. The principles of Yoga and Tai Chi greatly help voice and piano students with alignment, mental and physical balance, and flexibility of movement . Ms. Hubbell is a certified teacher (SF Integral Yoga Institute) of various yoga disciplines: Hatha I, Hatha II, Meditation, Therapeutic Yoga, and Raja Yoga; and is a certified teacher of Tai chi chih (the work of Justin Stone).
