Prof. Corsini has been teaching tapestry weaving at CCSF since 2006.
1983 1996 she taught beginning weaving in the Consumer Arts &> Science Dept.

Tapestry is a unique art form and I like to introduce students to its great creative potential and beauty. I also include the history of the technique so that students can draw inspiration from a breath and wealth of cultures and experience.

Professor Corsini recently retired from an eight year tenure as the curator of the San Jose Museum of Quilts &> Textiles (SJMQT) where she created hundreds of historic and contemporary textile exhibits. She is an active member of many textile organizations: Textile Arts Council, Textile Society of America, Handweavers Guild of America, Tapestry Weavers West, American Tapestry Alliance, Loom &> Shuttle Guild. She recently organized and curated an exhibition of TWW members work at the Mills Building in San Francisco. Her writing is included in many SJMQT publications and catalogs including the introduction to Mark Adams, Catalogue Raisonne of Tapestries.

Corsini is an artist and exhibits her work nationally. When not in her studio she enjoys cooking, yoga, gardening, reading, and walking on the beach.
