Moshe Quinn first taught at CCSF in 2008, and has been on the regular part-time faculty since 2011.

I aim to create a learning environment where students are equipped with the technical know-how, the historical and contemporary awareness, and the critical acumen to create works that provoke new ways of thinking and becoming, as both a subjective individual and an agent of contemporary culture. I reserve space in my classroom for the values of intuition, responsiveness, experimentation, and play. Like all artists we are driven to discover something new by making and experiencing something new, trying things out. Through such experiences we can obtain some kernel of new insight about the nature and possibilities of our world. At its best, art enlarges our understanding of the world and of ourselves. Ultimately as a teacher I hope to bring students into contact with this experience, this larger pursuit, so they may become actors in the greater human adventure.
