Mr. Moreno has been a member of the CCSF faculty since 1991.

As a history instructor at CCSF, he is dedicated to teaching students how to appreciate the multi-faceted nature of the historical experience in a critical, analytical, intellectual and academic way. His courses challenge students to utilize historical subject matter to teach themselves how to make the study of history valuable in the present.

In this effort, &>quot;my courses follow a methodology of &>quot;teaching students to think critically by way of thinking historically&>quot; in order to inspire in them how a proper understanding of the historical discipline will develop a liberating thought-process. My courses challenge and develop many important intellectual and academic skills; skills that will prove to be useful and profitable in many endeavors. Some of them include: one's ability to read and write at a sophisticated and college educated level; one's ability to think independently and critically by way of thinking historically; one's ability to listen attentively to complex and controversial issues, thereafter being able to express oneself concerning said issues, verbally as well as in writing, in a responsible, mature and knowledgeable manner; one's ability to engage themselves intellectually and emotionally in many of the important subjects and concerns that are the substance of the human experience.&>quot;
