My years of teaching have given me some insights on how students learn and we all have different learning modalities and levels of learning. My charge as a teacher is to find that balance in the classroom between all the learners in class yet still challenge my students to learn and do well, especially in such a diverse setting as our College. I see learning as a whole of oneself. We are the sum of all our parts where all of our experiences become resources of learning and expressing.

Most recently I have re-focused my teaching on software. The changes in technology has rapidly advanced our learning and our understanding of the world. I find this ever changing world fascinating and challenging. It enhances our creativity and makes us solve problems. Exploring software can be a real headache but it can also give us these "aha" moments that are so rewarding and self-achieving. I hope to share these moments with my students.

I am also a saxophone player playing Tenor, Soprano and Alto Sax. Tonality and sound are the things I try to achieve in my playing. My dream is to sound like Stan Getz, play like Cannonball Aderly, and jam like Maseo Parker.
