Dr. Dilworth blends successful careers as educator and solo vocalist. She has recored and toured internationally and in the U.S. Helenenjoys helping her students to soar, based upon their desires and needs. Dr. Dilworth is able to provide guidance based upon the collective wisdom of research and a wide range of experts with whom she has studied. Her methods allow students to develop their technique and expression, to perform "better, faster and longer".

Also called "Dr. Diva", Helen has served in many venues, including community colleges, universities, conservatories, Young Audiences, singing teacher's organizations, musician's associations, California Touring Artists, private lessons, vocal seminars, gospel workshops and choral clinics, in addition to K-12, pre-school, community center and service as school principal. She believes that everyone should sing, because "singing makes it better".

As soprano soloist, she has toured Japan, Germany, Italy, France, Austria, Puerto Rico, China, and most of the United States. She has won many prizes, including SF Opera Merola awards, NY Metropolitan awards, Austria's Meistersinger title, Queen's Opera and San Jose Music Club awards; plus Getty, Schwabacher, and Saunderson awards. She recorded Gold's "Songs of Love and Parting" on Cambria records.
Mayors Jordan and Brown each declared a "Dr. Helen Dilworth Day" in San Francisco.
