M.A. Human Performance and Sport - New Mexico Highlands University

Mr. Balano has taught at CCSF since 2001 and is City College of San Francisco's Head Strength and Conditioning Coach. He is directly responsible for enhancing injury prevention and biodynamic performance for all of City's Women's and Men's Intercollegiate Athletic Teams. Currently he is developing human performance curriculum and collaborating on an upcoming Kinesiology Major.

He was also Head Strength and Conditioning Coach for the annual East/West Shrine Game under Head Coaches John Ralston, Nick Saban, Dennis Franchione, Butch Davis, Steve Spurrier, Bruce Snyder, Mike Riley, Mike Bellotti, Walt Harris, Tynone Willingham and Houston Nutt.

Also served as Head Strength and Conditioning Coach for the Stanford University Hockey Club Team; Oakland Skates, and World Champion San Jose Rhinos professional roller hockey teams.
