Special Computer Accounts
 
Aside from your GroupWise and Windows Network accounts, you have other options:

Banner

If you need to enter student timesheets on the Web, or if you are a Department head or manage a Budget, you need an account on CCSF's Banner system.

To get an account for any of these functions please submit a Request for Computer Account form, available from the Help Desk (415-239-3711) or your local ITS staff person.This is a legal form requiring a signature in triplicate and is not available online.

Web site creation

[Note: All links open in a new browser page] Every Faculty member at CCSF gets a default Web page, accessible from the Faculty/Staff Directory. If you contact the Office of Public Information - 239-3680 - have your picture taken and write a short bio, you can also have an entry on CCSF's Faculty In Review page, which automatically includes and updated listing of courses you're teaching. Here's a summary of all Faculty Web options.

If you are a Faculty or Staff member and want to put up a Web site of your own, you have two choices:

  1. Sign up for training in the Contribute Project, which gives you access to easy Web creation using pre-designed templates. Training usually occurs at the end of the Fall and Winter semesters, and sometimes during the Winter or Summer intersessions.
  2. Design a page or site on your own and upload it to CCSF's web server called fog. To set up an account, please submit a Request for Computer Account form, available from the Help Desk (415-239-3711) or your local ITS staff person. Be sure to write on the form that you are requesting a fog account for a Web site.
