Passwords and Sanity
Nowadays we all have to deal with multiple passwords: for ATMs, online business, getting employee or student information, you name it. |
 |
And some of them (like our CCSF Network password) must change regularly, often twice a year
I cope by developing a short list of passwords. It used to be three, but has ballooned to six, because my bank requires all digits. When I add a new one, I send an email to myself and store it in a folder called pwd.
Now, when a password doesn't work, or when I am forced to change, I have a limited number to choose from—and usually it turns out to be the second or third choice. |
