Toshiba 2430 model laptops were issued to some lucky full-time faculty during the main rollout of new computers in 2003-2004.

All CCSF laptops are entrusted to full-time Faculty under certain conditions which are spelled out in this set of guidelines, which everyone who received a laptop had to sign.

Hardware/Programs/Procedures for using the Toshiba were detailed in an initial orientation that all people who received the computer had to attend. This is the PowerPoint presentation that formed the basis of the informational segment:

The built-in CD writing software on the Toshibas is an otherwise unavailable program called Drag'n Drop CD that puts three convenient buttons on the desktop.

Full documentation for the program is on the laptop's Hard disk under the Drag'n Drop CD folder in the Start menu > All programs (this includes how to make music compilation CDs).

Projecting a DVD

You have to jump through some hoops to use these laptops to project a DVD. Here are the step by step instructions to download and use when you're trying to set this up. [Word]
