Why do we need to upgrade Banner?
The upgrade to Banner 6 for the web will increase the functionality of the program. Additionally, SCT, Inc., the company that produces Banner, no longer supports the version of Banner that is used at CCSF.

Why do we need to upgrade now?
We can't wait for summer to update Banner because we need to support Financial Aid for the next academic year. The Financial Aid module of Banner will no longer work in our old version of Banner. Without an upgrade, we could negatively affect all CalGrant awards for the next academic year.
